The Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property Law welcomes academic and professional author submissions in all areas of intellectual property including, patents, copyrights, and trademarks.

CKJIP prefers to publish articles that are 12,000-18,000 words in length (excluding citations), but in extraordinary circumstances, will accept articles outside of this range.

Please note that CKJIP conforms to the Chicago Manual of Style (16th ed. 2010). Citations are in footnotes, rather than endnotes, and conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20th ed. 2015).

CKJIP prefers that submissions be in Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx) or PDF (.pdf) format. Submissions that are accepted for publication will be required to be in Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx) format for editing.
